Today I’m sharing a fun and easy sewing project — a cute Kindle sleeve with a front pocket! Whether you’re a beginner or just looking for a relaxing DIY sewing project, this is perfect. And the best part? You can download the free pattern and follow along.
Materials You’ll Need:
Main fabric (your choice)
Lining fabric
Batting for structure
Thread and clips
Sewing machine
Scissors / rotary cutter
Step-by-Step Sewing Guide
Cut out all the pieces from your main fabric and lining fabric. This is the least fun part, but it’s worth it!
Attach Batting to the outer pieces to give the sleeve some structure.
Prepare the pocket piece and sew it to the front main piece. Make sure to line up the edges and topstitch along the top for a neat finish.
Sew the lining right sides together, leaving a small opening at the bottom for turning later.
Assemble the bag and lining, right sides facing, sew all around the edges, leaving the bottom opening of the lining.
Trim the seam allowances to reduce bulk.
Turn the sleeve inside out through the opening and check everything looks good.
Sew the lining opening closed by hand.
Insert the lining inside the sleeve and topstitch along the top edge.

This pattern comes with a basic tutorial, but feel free to sew it your way! I like to customize my sewing projects and use the pattern just as a guide.
Tips:
Keep a 1 cm seam allowance all around.
Use clips instead of pins if your fabric is delicate to avoid holes.
Take your time with topstitching for a neat finish.
