Materials You’ll Need

  • Fabric for the outer pouch (faux leather or cotton works well)

  • Lining fabric

  • Fusible fleece for structure

  • 16 cm zipper

  • Thread and sewing machine

  • Scissors, pins, or clips

  • Optional: your own label/tag

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Cut your pieces. Start by cutting all your fabric pieces according to the pattern. Don’t forget to cut the lining and fusible fleece for extra structure.

2. Prepare the zipper tab. Make your zipper tab and sew it onto the ends of the zipper for a professional finish.

3. Assemble the pocket. Sew the sides of the pocket to the front piece. Then, attach the pocket to the front panel.

4. Sew the main pouch. Place the outer pieces right sides together and sew all around, leaving a small opening for turning. Clip the corners for neat edges.

5. Turn inside out and press. Turn your pouch right side out. Use a corner shaper if you have one to push out the corners nicely.

6. Finish the lining. Sew the lining closed through the small opening. Topstitch around the zipper for a clean, finished look.

7. Optional finishing touches. Add your own label or tag for a personal touch.

Tips for Success

  • Take it slow and steady when turning the pouch inside out.

  • Use fusible fleece for a more structured pouch.

  • Don’t skip topstitching — it makes the pouch look professional!
