Looking for a cute and practical sewing project? Today, I’ll show you how to make your very own AirPods case! This beginner-friendly tutorial is simple, fun, and a perfect way to practice your sewing skills while creating something useful.
What You’ll Need:
Outer fabric
Lining fabric
Fusible fleece
Fabric loop (optional, for a hook)
Sewing machine, thread, scissors, pins, and iron
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Download the Pattern
Grab the free pattern from the link below and cut out all your pieces.
Add Fusible Fleece
Fuse fusible fleece to the outer fabric pieces to give your case some structure.
Make the Fabric Loop
Fold both ends of the loop about 1 cm, fold in half again, and sew it to the edge.
Assemble the Layers
Place the lining and outer fabric right sides together, then add the batting under the outer fabric, wrong sides facing.
Sew Around the Edges
Leave a small opening for turning. Make sure the fabric loop is in place if using one.
Clip Corners & Turn Inside Out
Clip the corners slightly to reduce bulk, then turn the case right side out.
Press & Topstitch
Press all seams to make them neat. Topstitch around the edges to close the opening and give a professional finish.
Add Snaps (Optional)
Mark where the snaps will go and attach carefully — don’t apply too much pressure to avoid damaging them.
Final Touch
And there you have it — a perfect AirPods case! Great for personal use or as a handmade gift.
